REQ# Forge_025_00: Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an environmental field that may include conducting analytical chemistry tests using a variety of industry standard instruments and samples and analyzing results for compliance with established guidelines. Will support Department of Defense (DoD) environmental and shipyard-based programs with the Navy’s Laboratory Quality and Accreditation Office (LQAO). Must have analytical laboratory experience as well as ability to apply laboratory methodology, policies and procedures to determine data quality. Basic knowledge of chemistry and laboratory instrumentation required. Must have the ability to review standard policies, procedures, and test methods to draw conclusions on laboratory compliance to governing standards. Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 requirements and quality system practices is desired. Will also provide meeting and webinar support for government workshops and subgroups to include facilitation, note taking and administrative/logistics support. Experience researching standards and analyzing data to assess quality practices plus 3 years technical writing experience and expert use of PC based applications (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint) required. A Bachelor degree in Chemistry is desired. Travel could be up to 20%. Active Secret clearance required.
